Shoshanna A. Segal, MIES, LC, IALD, LEED AP / Principal

Shoshanna A. Segal is the Founder and Principal of Luminous Flux, LLC. She is the principal designer for all projects and works with our staff of design professionals to guide the conceptual and practical development of all of our work. Her view that design provides the opportunity to create relationships among technology, social interaction and commerce guide our continual efforts to balance the needs of efficiency, aesthetics, and performance.
Ms. Segal’s portfolio includes award-winning projects across a number of market sectors and for a wide variety of clients. Some highlights include work on the campuses of both the SUNY and CUNY systems, retail, K-12, corporate and government clients. Her concern about the legacy of human and environmental damage that has been caused by the built environment has led her to pursue additional training in environmental activism, and she is a member of the 2012/2013 Class of GreenFaith Fellows. Through this interfaith network, she teaches and leads discussions with faith-based communities about issues of conservation and environmental justice.
In addition to having served on the faculty of the Fashion Institute of Technology and the New York School of Interior Design. Ms. Segal is a frequent guest speaker for a number of professional groups throughout the Northeast. She is among the first lighting professionals in the world to receive the international certification, CLD having demonstrated mastery in seven domains of lighting design as established by the CLD Global organization and the International Association of Lighting Designers. She is a professional member of the I.A.L.D. and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
